Chairman and CEO of Volkswagen Group China
On August 1, 2022, Ralf Brandstätter was appointed Chairman and CEO of Volkswagen Group China, and also serves as the Chairman of the China Board, taking responsibility for the China region, including the Group's brands and joint ventures. Ralf Brandstätter is responsible for the China region on the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG.
Ralf Brandstätter joined Volkswagen AG in 1993. Over nearly three decades, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in procurement, before moving to various managerial positions within the Group, including General Representative of Volkswagen AG and CEO of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, among others.

CARIAD China CEO
Frank Han was appointed as the CEO of CARIAD China effective March 1, 2024, and is responsible for leading CARIAD’s China strategy.
As an experienced manager in the field of automotive software, Frank was responsible for the comprehensive development of a Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) platform at Changan Automobile prior to his move to the Volkswagen Group. In addition to his strong understanding of software architecture, he also has a wide range of international experience in the U.S. and China.

Responsible for Finance
On August 1, 2024, Dr. Patrick Heinecke was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China, responsible for Finance, and Member of the Board of Management.
Dr. Heinecke has extensive experience in finance, having served as a Member of the Board of Management for Finance, IT, Procurement, and Compliance at Audi Hungaria Zrt. since 2020. Previously, he worked at Audi AG and Volkswagen AG over nearly two decades, holding several senior finance roles.

Responsible for Human Resources, Organization & ITP
In April 2024, Dr. Martin Hofmann was appointed to Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China, responsible for Human Resources, Organization & ITP.
Dr. Hofmann joined Volkswagen AG in 2006. Over nearly two decades, he has held a variety of key national and international positions within the Group, including the management of operations at two transmission plants in China between 2011 and 2015, guiding TRATON SE to its IPO from 2016 to 2020, and establishing the CARIAD SE organization in 2021. From 2021 to 2024 Dr. Hofmann headed the areas of HR Digitalization, Operations Centers and Recruiting for the Volkswagen Group. Under his leadership the worldwide largest HRIT project “Hello Success” was successfully launched within a newly established HR IT software stack approach. Through these roles, he has gained extensive expertise in organizational strategy, talent management and the digitization of HR processes.

Responsible for Components, Logistics and QA
On April 1, 2023, Olaf Korzinovski was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China, responsible for Components, Logistics and QA, as well as Member of the Board of Management.
In 1997, Olaf Korzinovski started his career at Volkswagen. He was Technical Managing Director in Volkswagen Automatic Transmission(Tianjin), then took over the management of Volkswagen’s Kassel plant. And he was Chief Operation Officer of Volkswagen Group Components. He is an expert in the field of engineering with extensive management experience in China.

Responsible for Corporate & JV Affairs
In January 2019, Dr. Liu Yunfeng was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China responsible for Corporate & JV Affairs, and Member of the Board of Management.
Dr. Liu received a Ph.D. in Economics at Leipzig University in 2003. In the following year, he joined Volkswagen Group China, and has gained extensive experience in project operations and product management. Starting from 2013, he served as the Head of Shareholder & JV Affairs.

On August 1, 2022, Stefan Mecha was appointed CEO of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand for China.
Stefan Mecha joined Volkswagen AG in 2005 and has held management positions within the Volkswagen Group in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, and South America, where he gained substantial experience in sales and marketing.

Since April 2024, Dr. Johannes Roscheck is President of Audi China.
Dr. Johannes Roscheck began his professional career in Audi in 1995. During his career, he has held many management positions in the Volkswagen Group in Brazil, Hungary, the United States and Germany with over 25 years of experience of finance and production in the automotive sector.

Responsible for Purchasing
On July 1, 2023, Alfonso Sancha was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China responsible for Purchasing.
Alfonso Sancha is an expert in the field of procurement with extensive management experience internationally. He previously held senior positions in Germany, Mexico, and China, and was already responsible for purchasing at Volkswagen Group China as Executive Vice President from 2011 to 2014, having gained a deep understanding of the Chinese market.

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Volkswagen Group China
CEO of Volkswagen China Technology Company (VCTC)
On April 1, 2024, Thomas Ulbrich took over as CTO of Volkswagen Group China and CEO of Volkswagen China Technology Company (VCTC).
Thomas Ulbrich joined Volkswagen AG in 1992. Over more than 30 years, he has held various management roles across logistics, production and technical development functions, including two roles in China at FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC VOLKSWAGEN.
From 2014 to 2024, he served as Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Brand and successively responsible for multiple departments.
