Beijing, March 3, 2023. The Youth Summit 2022 Get Together concluded in Beijing, with the participation of executives from Volkswagen Group China and CARIAD's China subsidiary, partners, industry experts, and student representatives. The attendees came together to reflect on the remarkable achievements since the project’s launch and witness the kick-off of upcoming 2023 project. Under the theme of “Youth Talk”, Youth Summit 2022 Get Together invited outstanding student teams from 2022 to present their creative mobility solutions and discuss future mobility trends with industry experts.

Dr. Sun Wei, CTO of CARIAD's China subsidiary, and Ms. Zhou Jin, head of Volkswagen Group China’s Vertical Mobility joined the panel discussion and discussed future mobility trends and solutions with student representatives. Three outstanding student teams from 2022 also showcased their mobility solutions, demonstrating their unique creativity and innovative spirit.
Youth Summit 2023 also kicked off today. In 2023, Youth Summit will continue under the theme of “Creating Future Mobility”, inspiring university students to exchange ideas and practices in the mobility industry. The project will provide diversified online capacity-building training, covering topics including innovation, automotive industry trends, and career development to over 8,000 students from more than 100 universities. It will promote their skill development and enhance their overall competitiveness. In addition, Group executives and industry experts will visit five universities in five cities to interact with students face to face, bringing professional guidance and forward-looking industry insights to students.
In 2021, Volkswagen Group China leveraged its resources and experience in the auto industry, cooperating with the China Education Development Foundation to launch Youth Summit, a five-year youth education charity project. Since then, the project has received over 300 innovative proposals from more than 200 universities. It has provided a series of capacity-building training sessions for more than 10,000 university students, providing support for promising young talent.
