Beijing/Wuzhen, November 10, 2022. CARIAD’s China subsidiary made its debut at the 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, which kicked off yesterday, on behalf of Volkswagen Group China. Invited by the Cyberspace Administration of China, Chang Qing, CEO of CARIAD’s China subsidiary, participated in the Forum of Rule of Law on the Internet, hosted by Beijing Normal University and China Law Society online. Together with industry experts, CARIAD’s China subsidiary shared its thoughts on building the rule-of-law system in the digital era and calling for a more comprehensive and unified legal framework and standardization system for data security.
In the digital era, with the development of the Internet and information technology, the auto industry is undergoing a period of rapid transformation toward intelligence and digitalization. Intelligent connected vehicles and "software-defined cars” are reshaping the ecosystem of the auto industry. With the rapid development of intelligent connected vehicles, data security has become increasingly important. Therefore, the questions of how to further improve the rule-of-law system for intelligent vehicles, protect consumer information and data security, and provide them with a better and more intelligent driving experience are of great importance. On behalf of Volkswagen Group China, and as a representative of outstanding foreign enterprises and technical experts, CARIAD’s China subsidiary offered its thoughts on the opportunities and challenges faced by intelligent connected vehicles in the field of data security.
Chang Qing, CEO of CARIAD’s China subsidiary, joined the roundtable with industry experts, scholars, and representatives of technology enterprises to discuss the rule-of-law system in the digital era. Through World Internet Conference, the cross-industry international platform, we are delighted to share our experience and practices in data security with industry experts.
